We had a fairly low key Easter this year. The Saturday before Easter was actually a lot busier for us. We took the girls to a Egg Hunt at the local park. They got to visit with the Easter Bunny and play games. We then ran to Bellevue for cupcakes. If you don't know, I have an obsession with cupcakes, especially Trophy Cupcakes. (http://www.trophycupcake.com/) For Easter, they have Hi-hat cupcakes; a chocolate cupcake with marshmallow meringue frosting dipped in chocolate. It was so good and you can only get them the day before Easter. The girls really enjoyed theirs as well. Then we ran to the mall to have lunch at Panera since I was craving their food. Finally, it was time to go home and dye some eggs, after a quick stop at Walmart. A quick stop was wishful thinking, we didn't need much, but it took almost half an hour to get through the express line. We finally got home to have dinner, eat our delicious cupcakes and dye the Easter Eggs. Then it was time for bed for my excited girls, who didn't fall asleep for over an hour after being put to bed! They couldn't stop talking about the Easter Bunny and what they were going to get in their baskets.

Finally, they were out and the Easter Bunny was able to fill their baskets. Hayley awoke early, 6:30am! She was disappointed she had to wait for Ryan to wake up. Finally, Ryan awoke and down the stairs they went. Hayley received a new game for her DS and Ryan received a new Petshop set. And of course, they both got some candy. Easter isn't Easter without some Peeps! We had an early dinner with friends and then came back home to relax and get ready for the week. Easter was the end of Spring Break and Hayley had to be back at school the next morning. In all, it was a fun weekend and a great ending to Spring Break.
